Beauty hacks for that perfect nailpolish

Isn’t it irritating when you end up painting the cuticles and skin around the nails accidentally? That is one thing that can make your nail art, or even basic nail painting, look amateurish. If you don’t want your nails to look like you let a toddler practise art on it, here are two beauty hacks that will help. The remover hack: Nail polish removers are effective in getting rid of the paint and you obviously know that. However, removing the colour with a cotton swab is tricky because you might end up spoiling the colour on your nails too. So here’s the trick – take a cotton bud or a lip colour brush and dip it in the remover. Now clean the area around cuticles and the skin with this. It’s easy and neat. If you don’t have these two things handy, take some cotton and wrap it around your nail file or a pencil tip and use it the same way. Did you know you can remove nail polish without acetone, here’s how? The greasy hack: All you need is a good dab of petroleum jelly around the skin and near the cuticles. Be liberal with the amount of petroleum jelly you use. It must form a thick greasy layer. Now apply your nail colour and see the magic. The colour doesn’t stay on the petroleum jelly and hence keeps your skin stain free. Make sure you don’t get any petroleum jelly on the nails as it will spoil the look. I tried this yesterday and it definitely works. Here are 8 ways in which you can use petroleum jelly for your skin and hair. Image Source: Shutterstock
